It's back to school, time to get into some good habits! Immerse yourself in a good book on weeknights to drift off to sleep... rather than scrolling through Instagram and staying up until 2 a.m. We've seen you! ;)
All summer long we've been slipping little surprises into your packages (wheat bouquets, lavender sachets, tea bags, etc.). You loved them, so we decided to continue, because we love to spoil and surprise you.
During the month of September, a lovely bookmark will be included in all your orders! We created it especially for you.
“It’s in books that inspiration resides, it’s on Instagram that we unleash it,” our mantra for this back-to-school season .
To accompany this bookmark , we wanted to share with you the three thrillers that thrilled us this summer. The advantage of this type of book is that it's addictive, surprising, and without further ado, you find yourself immersed in the story and can't stop.
The girl on the train:

Between the suburb where she lives and London, Rachel takes the train twice a day: at 8:04 in the morning, at 5:56 in the evening. And every day, during a stop, she observes a pretty house below the railway line. She knows this house by heart; she has even given its occupants a name: Jason and Jess. A couple she imagines perfect. Happy, as Rachel and her husband were in the past, before he cheated on her, before he left her.
Until this morning when Rachel sees Jess in her garden with a man other than Jason. Could the young woman be having an affair? Upset to see her perfect relationship at risk of disintegrating like hers, Rachel decides to find out more. A few days later, she discovers with shock the photo of a now familiar face on the front page of the newspapers: Jess has mysteriously disappeared...
This is the book we devoured on the beach! An absolutely crazy thriller that makes reading enjoyable and addictive: you think you know, you're sure, you don't know anymore...
We absolutely recommend it. You'll love it!
The husband's secret:

“Cecilia should never have read this letter found by chance in the attic. On the yellowed envelope, a few words in her husband’s handwriting: “Not to be opened until after my death.” Curiosity is too strong, she opens it and time stands still… Both mad with anger and devastated by what she has just learned, Cecilia doesn’t know what to do: if she keeps quiet, the truth will eat away at her; if she speaks, those she loves will suffer.”
Although the title suggests a husband with a heavy secret, the book is mostly about women. There's the one who manages everything brilliantly: family, work, her home, and who, of course, annoys everyone. We also have the one who lost a daughter a long time ago and can't get over it. And then there's the woman who spends her time worrying and doubting herself, even more so since she finds out her husband is having an affair with someone close to the couple.
This book is a remix of Desperate Housewives , but less corny and more powerful because every page exudes marital and family love.
The couple next door:

Anne and Marco are invited to their neighbors' house for dinner. At the last minute, the babysitter lets them down. No problem: they take the baby monitor with them and will check on the baby every half hour. The evening drags on. The last time they went to see her, Cora was fast asleep. But when they returned late that night, the unthinkable happened: the crib was empty.
For the first time, this seemingly uneventful couple sees the police arrive at their home. However, the police don't stop at appearances... What will the investigation uncover?
The first question we asked ourselves when reading the summary was: why this title ? If the parents were invited to the neighbors' house, how could the latter be involved? Not knowing made our mouths water and was enough to make us buy the book so that we could carry out the investigation ourselves. However, the author plays with our nerves throughout the reading by trying to confuse the issues .
And you, have you already read any of these three books ? What did you think of them? Do you have any other books to recommend?
