What decoration in winter?

We all dream of a change of decor with this transition from mild to cold . Only we never know how to do it and what to buy so that it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg! And then we have so much inspiration on the internet that we no longer know what style we want...

The Scrunchie team has experienced this more than once and has developed some tips for getting through this kind of situation! They allow us to avoid spending too much and spend as little time as possible.

To warm up your interior, there is no need to repaint or change your sofa!

We just need to buy a few warm pieces that will do the job very well!

The plaid:

In the bedroom , in the living room , in wool , as a pillow pillow ... So many places to put it and so many different styles that we don't know how to choose... This year, the Scrunchie team has fallen in love with plaids full of pretty twists ! And it's even better when they're in pastel shades!

We place it on the end of our bed , nonchalantly, for an undone effect. You know, that fashion from two years ago that's so complicated to do?

Our selection:

- Cable knit cover

- Twisted plaid

The mirror:

Contrary to Feng Shui rules that prohibit mirrors in bedrooms, we're going to give you a good reason to have one!

We love vintage mirrors, we have a whole bunch of them at the Scrunchie room! The advantage of mirrors is that they add character and make a room look bigger.

We find them at Emmaüs or buy them at Maison du Monde. We like them white or gold, with moldings. We hang them on a wall, place them on a fireplace, on a pretty piece of furniture or even on the floor if the mirror is large!

Our selection:

- White rectangular mirror

- White oval mirror

- Antique mirror

The candlestick:

A candlestick on a table is a game changer, especially during the holiday season ! With one or more arms, accompanied by candles, it's super cute and warm .

Our favorites are copper or gold . It's a jackpot if they're covered in relief ! We'll favor white candles for a natural effect.

Our selection:

- Silver-plated metal candlestick

- 5-arm bronze chandelier

- Silver candlestick

- One-armed bronze candlestick

The carpet:

In winter, we like to warm up our parquet or tile floors! And why not our chairs?

In the living room, we love a Berber or Persian rug. They add character to our room. We love them big, very big!

In the bedroom we love having a rug at the foot of the bed, what a joy to put your feet on a rug when you wake up.

Is your chair cooler in the summer than warmer in the winter? You can place a faux fur or sheepskin rug on it to make it more cozy!

Our selection:

- Berber carpet (living room)

- Persian rug (living room)

- Faux fur rug (bed runner or chair)

- Sheepskin rug ( bedside or chair)

Dried flowers:

On these rainy days with gray skies, it's dull at home... What better way to brighten up your living room than with pretty dried flowers ? We love to twist our summer bouquets by adding winter touches: for example, cotton flowers!

You can dry your own flowers. To do this, ask your florist for fresh flowers that will dry well. Tie the stems together and let the bouquet dry upside down for a few weeks. You can then spray a little hairspray on the bouquet and you're done!

The vase:

We have to put these flowers somewhere!

We love mismatched vases: different sizes, colors, and textures! They add a lot of charm, and the more there are, the more we love them!

You don't have to break the bank to do this; just recycle old jam jars, clean wine bottles that are ready to be thrown in the bin, or plan to use that almost empty whisky bottle!

Our selection:

- Pink glass vase

- Pink and white ceramic vase

- Pink tinted vase

Candles:

A winter without candles isn't really a winter! Is n't it? Candles are a comforting, warm decorative detail, and if they smell good, they can perfume a room!

We put them in our living room, in the bedroom but also in unlikely places like the bathroom or the toilet, cozy and soft effect guaranteed (especially if you have guests).

If you have a non-functioning fireplace, consider adding several of different sizes to evoke the feeling of a roaring fire. We love it!

Our selection:

- The 100-hour candles (which you can find at Scrunchie Christmas on Tuesday, December 4, register via this link )

- Ponoie (love the dried flowers in the candles)
