Christmas is already 9 days away, you say?
And yes! We hope you managed to choose the accessory of your dreams for the end-of-year celebrations !
By the way, about that... We told you how to match them , but we didn't show you the different ways to wear them! As you probably know, we love Pinterest , and we get a lot of inspiration from it! Even for our hairstyles. We spend a lot of time figuring out how this braid is done, why the twist goes that way or "how did she manage to do this *** hairstyle?! I want the same one!". After a multitude of tries, shampoos and broken hair ties, we were finally rewarded and we got it.
We're showing you seven ways to tie your hair up for the holidays. We can't guarantee they're beginner-level, but the wow factor is there! We've been very patient, and we hope you'll be just as patient!
Each hairstyle is accompanied by a video tutorial (no no it's not us this time), allowing you to understand the different movements .
The twist:
A bit like Daenerys (we invite you to watch Game of Thrones) but less extravagant, we offer you a variation of the twisted braid: the twisted ponytail.
The name doesn't mean anything to you, or to us at first, but the result is amazing!
Pull all your hair to one side so that you no longer have a middle part.
Next, start your twist where you should have your part, then twist on the side where all your hair is ( youtube tutorial 1:06). You must take strands from the top and bottom each time so the twist holds well! Continue to the back of your head, hold everything and make a ponytail with a scrunchie . It's up to you to decide if it will be low or high!
The low bun:
A classic revisited that's more than adorable! It's the bun, surrounded by the satin bow of our beret!
Nothing could be simpler: make a low bun that you secure with a small elastic band (preferably the same color as your hair) then place the beret (with the knot undone) on your head. Place it correctly at the front of your head and over your ears then wrap the ribbons around your bun in the opposite direction. You must make a complete turn around your bun, so that you can make a pretty knot on top of it.
The half-tail:
It's one of our favorite ways to wear our bows ! And we decided to totally improvise for the holidays by creating a super twist: inverted half-ponytail braids.
Does this ring a bell? A few years ago it was very fashionable, we're sure you've noticed!
To achieve this hairstyle you need to learn the basics of this braid thanks to this video .
When you get to the back of your head, gather the braids into a half ponytail and secure them with your knot.
Low bun variation:
Repeat the basics of the previous hairstyle but continue the braids down to the nape of your neck and then gather all your hair. Make a low bun and secure with a scrunchie .
Tadaaaa!
The high duvet:
We tested a more pimped-out version of the high ponytail: the high ponytail with a glued-on braid. We know, the name of the hairstyle is rather long, but the result is worth the length!
To do this, you need to start at the very front of your head with a glued braid ( explanatory video ), and finish it at the top of your head, to gather all the hair into a ponytail (we like to make life easier by leaning our head forward). You need to keep the braid tight and make sure to remove all the spikes and then tie the hair with a scrunchie .
The crown:
Carefully place the headband on your head and wrap it strand by strand with your hair.
Thanks to the velvet, your hair won't move, and you can even keep it on overnight and end up with curly hair in the morning!
The wheat ear braid:
We like complications because we wanted to try a glued wheat ear braid.
It's actually not that difficult when you know how to do cornrows and cornrows! You just have to mix the two!
Here is a video to learn the steps for a wheat ear braid.
Start your braid at the back of your head and finish it (for once, we don't tell you to stop before)! If the cornrow is too complicated, start with a French braid and finish with a cornrow.
Then place your hat on your head, guaranteed Victorian effect! All that's missing is your horse ;)
Send us photos of your hairstyles, we'll regram the coolest ones!
